Frank Chlystek, Founder of CWS, began his career in premium audit in 1958 with Citizens Insurance Company. Frank is proud of the fact that he scored one of the highest grades recorded on his employment exam! He left the insurance company in 1968 to found White and White Inspection and Audit Service-Michigan. Over the course of his 20 year career with White and White, Frank was promoted to Executive Vice President of the corporation in charge of Nationwide Operations. CWS was founded in the wake of the White and White buyout and has been incorporated in Michigan since November 1988.

Mark de Waal, President of CWS, joined the company in 1992. Significant milestones are as follows:
  • 1993 Future Audit 1.0 software introduced.
  • 1994 Taylor Smith, General Manager, joins CWS. Rob de Waal joins company as IT Manager.
  • 1996 CWS expands into Ohio.
  • 1996 Indiana-Ohio branch office opens (Located Indianapolis). 1999 Robert Warren is named Indiana Branch Manager.
  • 1998 Future Audit 2.0 software introduced.
  • 1998 Frank Chlystek retires.
  • 2000 CWS expands into Kentucky. Branch office opens. Eric Gravens named Kentucky Regional Manager.
  • 2000 Illinois branch office opens. Greg Thill, CPCU, CIPA named Regional Manager.
  • 2002 CWS expands into Wisconsin. Greg Thill, CPCU, CIPA named IL-WI Regional Manager.
  • 2003 Future Audit 3.0 software introduced.
  • 2004 Internet based management system (PAM) from AuSuM Systems introduced.
  • 2004 CWS expands into Minnesota-Dakotas. Branch office opens. Sue Grover, CPCU, CIPA named Regional Manager.
  • 2004 Stefanie Bayer named National Telephone and Voluntary Audit Manager.
  • 2004 CWS relocates home office to Watermark Technical Center, Cascade Michigan.
  • 2006 Web based Voluntary audit program.
  • 2006 Ohio and Indiana combined into one territory, Bob Warren Regional Manager with Scott Pasch and Jim Shields assisting in the effort.
